Voters Approve Greater Augusta Utility District on 11/6/2007 |

On November 6, 2007, residents of
Augusta, Maine voted to allow the Augusta Water District and the Augusta
Sanitary District to be merged into a single utility called the Greater
Augusta Utility District. On the same day, Hallowell, Maine residents voted to extend the sewer functions of the Hallowell Water District to the Greater Augusta Utility District.
