The Greater Augusta Utility District was formed by an act of the Legislature in 2007 and affirmed by voters in both Hallowell and Augusta in November, 2007. Augusta's representatives are appointed by the Mayor of the City of Augusta. Hallowell's representatives are appointed by the Mayor of the City of Hallowell. Click here for meeting minutes. There are seven voting members on the board. 6 are from Augusta, and 1 is from Hallowell. There are 2 non-voting members. One is from Augusta, one is from Hallowell. |
